Reclaiming You: Beauty, Confidence & Style After the Storm
A deeply personal story about surviving breast cancer, rebuilding identity, and learning how to feel like yourself again after life changes everything.
Available in Paperback and Kindle
Why I Wrote This Book
Surviving breast cancer changed everything.
It changed my body, my confidence, the way I saw myself, and the way I imagined my future. I was grateful to be alive, but survival did not automatically make me feel whole again.
There were parts of me I had to get reacquainted with.
I had to learn how to look at myself differently. I had to figure out what confidence meant after treatment, surgeries, physical changes, fear, and everything that came with starting over.
For me, style became more than fashion. Beauty became more than appearance. They became part of how I started reconnecting with myself.
I wrote Reclaiming You for the woman who has survived something life-changing and is now trying to answer one difficult question:
Who am I now?
This Book Is About More Than Cancer
Reclaiming You is rooted in my experience with breast cancer, but the message goes far beyond a diagnosis.
This book is about what happens when life interrupts the version of yourself you thought you knew.
It is about rebuilding after change.
It is about rediscovering confidence when you no longer recognize yourself.
It is about allowing yourself to evolve instead of spending your life trying to become the exact person you were before.
And it is about understanding that reclaiming yourself does not mean going backward.
Sometimes reclaiming yourself means becoming someone new.
Who This Book Is For
This book is for the woman who has experienced a major life transition and feels like part of herself got lost along the way.
It may speak to you if you are rebuilding after cancer, illness, surgery, motherhood, grief, divorce, body changes, loss, or simply a season of life that changed you more than you expected.
You do not have to share my exact story to understand the feeling of looking at your life and wondering where you went.
If you are ready to reconnect with your confidence, identity, purpose, and personal style, this book was written with you in mind.
What You’ll Find Inside
Throughout Reclaiming You, I share my personal journey honestly — not as someone who has everything figured out, but as a woman who has had to rebuild herself in real time.
You’ll find reflections on:
Confidence
Learning how to see yourself differently after your body and life have changed.
Identity
Understanding that your experiences may shape you without having to completely define you.
Beauty & Style
Using self-expression as a way to reconnect with the woman inside, not as a way to hide her.
Purpose
Finding meaning in what you have survived and deciding what you want your next chapter to look like.
Starting Again
Giving yourself permission to evolve, dream again, and create a life that fits who you are becoming.
Reclaiming Yourself Looks Different for Everyone
There is no perfect formula for healing.
For me, reclaiming myself included fashion, beauty, entrepreneurship, faith, creativity, and allowing myself to want things again.
Your path may look completely different.
That is part of the point.
Reclaiming yourself is not about following someone else's blueprint. It is about giving yourself permission to discover what makes you feel alive, confident, connected, and hopeful again.
You are allowed to redefine yourself.
You are allowed to change.
You are allowed to become excited about your life again.
A Personal Note From Me
I did not write this book because I had reached some perfect finish line.
I wrote it because I know what it feels like to survive something life-changing and still have questions about who you are afterward.
I know what it feels like to be grateful for your life while also grieving parts of the life, body, confidence, or identity you once had.
And I know what it feels like to slowly begin finding yourself again.
If you have ever looked in the mirror — literally or figuratively — and wondered, “Who am I now?”, I hope this book reminds you that you are still allowed to become whoever you choose to be next.
You do not have to return to the old you.
You can reclaim yourself by moving forward.
